Melo ("we") provides online ordering websites for local businesses ("stores"). This page explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Information from businesses
When you request a trial or use Melo as a store, we collect your business name, your name, phone number, email address, country and city, and the details you enter about your business. We use this to contact you, set up your website, provide the service and send bills.
Information from customers who order
When a customer places an order on a store's website, we store the phone number, name, delivery address, optional map location and the order details. This information belongs to the store where the order was placed and is used to prepare and deliver the order and to make the next order faster. The full address is visible only to that store.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share a store's customers with other stores.
- We do not process card payments; customers pay the store directly.
Service providers
Melo runs on trusted hosting and database providers that store the data on our behalf. They may process data in other countries.
Storage on your device
A store's website remembers your phone number and your latest order on your own device so that you do not have to type them again. You can clear this in your browser settings.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep information while a store uses Melo and as needed for records. To have your information corrected or deleted, contact the store you ordered from, or contact us.
